Virta Group has finished the largest Net Zero High Performance Construction housing project in North America. This was a social housing project for Niagara Regional Housing (Niagara Falls) included the renovation of 55 townhouses, using nothing but the latest energy efficient and renewable technologies available. The project was set in motion because this particular social housing property was one of the only in Ontario that had no waiting list and was sitting at an astounding 20% vacancy rate. These shocking numbers were due to the extremely high cost of energy for heating each unit throughout the winter season. This completed housing project is outfitted with more energy efficient technologies and renewable energy equipment than you can find anywhere in North America's social housing communities. We are proud to have headed up this ground-breaking project that will take the green movement to a whole new level.
